Michigan Storms The Hill

The following comes from the July 20th HCAM/MCAL Pulse NewsletterIt was written by MCAL’s Linda Lawther

American Health Care Association / National Center for Assisted Living’s annual Congressional Briefing last month brought long-term care operators to Washington to meet with state lawmakers. Most were there to ask for less extreme cuts to Medicaid and Medicare. Assisted Living representatives worked to educate on the challenges that will be created if CMS changes the definition on where Medicaid waiver clients may be served. If changed in the way it is proposed, Medicaid waivers would not be available in Michigan in our HFAs or AFCs.
