MediLodge Whole Person Wellness Program

The goal of the MediLodge Whole Person Wellness Program is to recognize the unique individuality of everyone.  This approach to wellness is an active process in which each person is encouraged to make choices towards personal growth in seven dimensions of wellness:  physical, social, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, occupational/vocational and financial.

Most workplace wellness programs focus entirely on physical health.  With a whole person wellness approach the physical needs, “the body”, will not be downplayed, but will be held in equal importance as the dimensions that involve mind and spirit.  In whole person wellness a high priority is place on prevention, individual involvement and the responsibility we each have for achieving optimal wellness of body, mind and spirit.


There are seven dimensions to our approach for achieving whole person wellness:


Promotes increased knowledge to allow individuals to achieve a healthy lifestyle and encourages participation in activities that contribute to wellness.

  • Healthy personal lifestyle habits
  • Breathing
  • Exercise, enjoyment of movement
  • Nutrition and healthy food choices
  • Health screenings
  • Self care
  • Alternative medical treatments, nutritional supplements


Focuses on the creation and maintenance of healthy relationships with family, friends, co-workers and contributions to benefit the community.

  • Create and maintain positive realtionships
  • Value differences
  • Respect self and others
  • Social interaction
  • Community involvement


Includes unconditional acceptance of yourself and the ability to manage positive and negative feelings.

  • Recognition and expression of feelings
  • Stress management
  • Work/Life balance
  • Perspective and humor
  • Gratitude
  • Optimism vs. pessimism
  • Problem solving
  • Self worth recognition and personal expectations


Individuals are encouraged to expand their knowledge and skills with a variety of resources and activities.

Revolves around the process of seeking meaning and purpose in life.

  • Find meaning and purpose in life
  • Explore personal morals, values and ethics

Involves work as well as hobbies where personal and professional goals are set and met through meaningful activities.
